Built during the early years of the first Cylon War, Battlestar Galactica has managed to remain one of two battlestars to survive the Cylon attacks. Modelers can now take a closer look at each unique part of the Galactica with the scale plastic model kit from Moebius Models. Highly detailed moldings accurately depict the unique ridged exterior of the Battlestar Galactica kit, and each piece is molded thick to ensure an accurate bond between every piece that make up this incredible sci-fi plastic model. Its modular assembly allows modelers to put together the engine pods, main hull, and forward hull separately before putting the entire ship together. This also allows modelers to accurately paint and detail areas that become more complicated to access once the model is completed.

Assembly instructions are easy to follow and fun to read, since the manual looks more like a mission briefing than standard plastic model assembly instructions. While clearly drawn black line illustrations are offered for each construction step, there are also color photographs to let modelers see how the Battlestar Galactica model actually looks at each stage of the assembly process. Once modelers have arranged the gun turrets around the exterior of the ship, they will have to closely follow the instructions to ensure proper alignment of the flight pods. Landing strip decals go inside the flight pods, but the instructions even explain how to add battle damage to the ship that represents Caprica. After completing the model as if it was just constructed or just survived a Cylon attack, modelers can place it on the included display stand.
